from the vault - a poem - "my reflection"

Another poem dug out from my creative "vault."  I was very prolific with the free verse sort of poetry during all those commutes into the city on the train, can't you tell?

my reflection in the
window
stares at me
in the dark tunnel
we slow
we stutter
we fumble
fingers knotting
breathing heavy
slivers of light
bright in my eyes
we shudder
we shiver
from giver to receiver
from engine to car
we grumble
we rumble
we ache
we twist
we sigh
and in the sky
a lazy cloud trails by
we speed
we chatter
we dart
 in and out
of the artwork
on the walls
scrawled by voiceless fingers
nimble
cold
hard
we push away
we stop
we start
our hearts
not in it fully
never in it really
