yum

One of my all time favorite places to visit is the local Asian market.  I enjoy all Asian food that I've tried so far: Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, Malaysian ( and of course, my own Filipino).  Puttering around the market brings back memories of meals I've had in the past, peaks my curiosity for all those packages written in languages I can't read.  I'm an adventurous type when it comes to food.  I'll try anything at least once.

My main weakness is the snack aisle.  A stroll down there always reminds me of my friend Chiasui.  She would always come to rehearsals with all sorts of goodies she picked up at some Asian store.  Then, I would always get hooked . .and then be unable to find them again because I couldn't recognize the packaging!

My latest addiction from the store is a honey seaweed flavored cracker.  Kind of sweet and savory at the same time.  My husband hates them, but I can't seem to get enough of them!

I miss Chiasui.  She had to go back to Taiwan because her visa ran out.  I hope she comes back to NY soon.  She's always a fun pal to go anywhere and eat, and chat with.
